In 2021, especially when the 2nd wave of Covid-19 hit us, I tried to step back a bit and get my shit together – I can’t say that I was successful 🙁

So in 2022, I hope to tie up some loose ends and take stock of what I want to do and how much time I can give to my projects.

I finally got this blog onto a new theme last year, and there’s still a lot of clean-up, love, and care, it needs! :’)

Current projects:

  • Just Bruneians – a creative movement & platform for local Brunei talents
  • Qotaq – a WIP solo project to tie together my Brunei-related collections

I’m part of a Brunei-based Feminist Book Club. I’m also an occasional supporter for B:Read and Women Techmakers Brunei.

Another year, same stuff

Ongoing projects

These don’t really change from year to year!

Brunei Cabinet database:

A list of Brunei’s Ministers and Permanent Secretaries. I keep it updated with every appointment and I also try to collect older data.

But it’s also a bit more than that! There are different views or “collections”, for example a list of women senior officers, officers listed by age, officers listed by academic background. More info here.

Compiling Brunei-related content:

I try new ways to compile content of interest to me – usually writings, tweets, artwork. Here is my list of bookmarked Brunei tweets, and it draws on bookmarks in my Pinboard account (not to be confused with Pinterest). You can also see bookmarked Brunei articles and Brunei (art)works on my Pinboard.

I don’t quite know what I’m going to do with these collections, but I’m happy to have them at hand.

Me, generally

  • I’m a self-employed web developer – need a website?
  • I’m personally interested in how web tech is used in communities, and in digital communities and collections.

This is a ‘Now’ page inspired by the /now page movement and, and found via Joshua – thanks man!
