Pocket Frogs: hopping, breeding, that’s it

This post hasn't been updated in over 3 years.

One of the first few games I started playing on the iPad (not mine) was Pocket Frog.

It’s easy to see what drew me to it. I like “collecting” things in games, and the app is pretty smooth, and its gameplay is simple. What I was going for in particular were the awards, for example to collect 8 frogs of a specific species in the same habitat.

I found myself playing for hours… until I finally let go of the iPad, looked at the clock, and concluded Read more…

Unfinished books, have hope

This post hasn't been updated in over 3 years.

I tend to not keep “unread” piles of books. Mostly because I have started reading them. The main problem I have is in finishing them.

Facebook Groups still suck

This post hasn't been updated in over 3 years.

Is it just me, or has the concept and interface of Groups in Facebook not undergone any major changes in the past year? That is, no good major changes.

I have, at various points of my life, been active in forums or discussion boards (e.g. FictionAlley Park, DonationCoder), so I guess I’m biased towards them. My main beef with Facebook Groups are with the two points below:

Obviously it’s a typo of danggerek.com.bn, for D’Anggerek Service Apartments (although they’re actually found at danggerek.com… hmm).

But for a moment there, I couldn’t help wishing that somewhere out there, someone had created a website called “Dang Geek” 😀 And I do mean that in full Brunei context; the short form for “Dayang” is…?

An e-book a month, in 2011

This post hasn't been updated in over 3 years.

Witness the optimism that occasionally sets upon me:

Read 12 free e-books in 2011 on an e-reader? From she who does not own any dedicated e-book reader nor any device that renders pleasurable reading experiences?

Bah. Bring it on.

Will I also write reviews? From she who, all her reading life, hesitates to recommend books to others, fearing they would come back to her and tell her what horrible taste she has?

Okay.
